Client Showcase, “The Wandering Bride” Rebrand – a brand strategy and design project for a Yosemite wedding planner.
The Wandering Bride is a wedding planning business run by the incredibly talented Jessica Trettin. Jess specializes in organizing weddings in Yosemite National Park, creating awe-inspiring, unforgettable experiences for couples who’d rather say their vows under a towering sequoia than in a traditional venue.
When Jess came to me, she was feeling like her brand had lost its spark. You know that feeling when you look at something you’ve created, and it just doesn’t match who you are anymore? That’s where she was.
“My brand was tired, and I knew I needed to refresh it, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do.” Jess explained. “I felt stuck in my head about how to complete a brand refresh while keeping the elements I loved and changing the elements that needed it.”
Jess signed up for the Setting Off subscription plan, which meant each design deliverable was sent her way every 3-5 business days, one by one. Revisions were delivered within 2-3 business days.
Total Project Duration: 8 weeks
We kicked things off with a solid strategy session—an hour or two of chatting about her audience, competitors, goals, and where she wanted her brand to go.
Jess’s couples? They’re the type who love traveling and the outdoors, living that #adventurelife. They’re the kind of people who don’t need all the bells and whistles of a traditional wedding, but still want their day to have that wow factor.
Jess is the queen of walking that line, helping couples balance that down-to-earth vibe with something truly unforgettable. So, naturally, her brand needed to capture that same energy—equal parts expert and adventure-lover.
Once we had a clear strategic direction, it was time to freshen up her brand. We swapped out the muted, monotone colors for something a bit more playful and high-contrast, which really brought out Jess’s confident individuality. The new font suite? Modern, adventurous, and just a little bit classic—exactly what we needed to match the Yosemite, dreamy feeling she brings to her work.
“I loved your ability to look at my existing brand and move it forward with your design concepts. It was a breath of fresh air for myself, my company, and my brand every time we chatted!” said Jess.
From there, I dove into creating graphics that really embodied her brand’s adventure wedding spirit. This included illustrations like a “Just Married Jeep,” a “Growler Clink,” and a “Diamond in the Woods.” We also used her logo’s signature arrow as a recurring element throughout the graphics to tied them to the core of her brand and keep things cohesive. These visuals became central to her website design and social media templates, pulling everything together.
That’s our Client Showcase, “The Wandering Bride” edition!
At the end of the day, The Wandering Bride brand needed a refresh that felt like Jess—experienced, adventurous, and ready to give couples a wedding day that’s as epic as the landscapes she works in.
With her new branding, Jess is set to connect with even more outdoors-loving couples who want something special and totally unique.

The reason Jess felt her new brand was so on-point and completely unique to her is because it was the baby of brand strategy. If you feel like your current brand doesn’t feel like you, doesn’t connect with your audience, or doesn’t help you stand out in your niche, it might be time for a strategy sesh!
On the other hand, if you are just starting out in your business, you’re not sure who your audience is, or you simply don’t know what kind of personality you want to bring to your business, hold off on brand strategy for now. You can get by with some templates and DIYing until you have a better idea of how your business functions in your niche and helps your people. Here’s a helpful step-by-step guide on DIYing your unique personal brand aesthetic.
If you’re thinking your brand could use the kind of transformation Jess had, let’s chat! Head over to the Adventurepreneur Design Den to see how we can make your business stand out in its own unforgettable way.
Love you, good luck, and stay sane.
