Your homepage and your landing page are not the same thing. Think of your homepage like the comfy common room of your website—it gives people options, places to explore, different directions to wander off in. But a landing page serves a different purpose; I’m about to show you how to convert more clients with this 10-step landing page formula.
A landing page is like a well-marked trail with one clear destination and no forks in the road. One goal, one offer, one outcome. Period.
Landing pages are useful when:
And the best part? You don’t need a huge site to start getting results. You just need a solid, intentional layout that makes taking action a no-brainer.
Before you start making your landing page, determine the main goal of the page. Do you want people to book a discovery call? Fill out a form? Book a service? Whatever it is, that will be your main Call To Action (CTA). It helps to have a CTA that is relatively noncommittal, like “Contact” or “Request Quote.” We should include a CTA button on almost every section of your landing page.
If you still need to choose a website platform to make your landing page on, check out Best Website Platforms for Digital Nomads.
So here it is—your full breakdown of what to include on a landing page that actually works:
This is the prime real estate of your website. It’s what people see before they scroll. And in a world of tiny attention spans, this is your one shot to answer the unspoken questions they’re already asking: Is this for me? Can you help me? Should I care?
This section should feel like walking into the right room and knowing immediately, “Yep. I belong here.”
Right after the hook, you want to build some trust. People need proof that you’re legit—especially when they’ve just met you.
This section is your place to brag a little (strategically, of course). Don’t think you need some big corporate resume to pull this off either. Even if you’re early in your biz, you’ve got something to show.
Remember: you’re building trust through your history – strut your stuff!
This is where you show them you get it. You understand what they’re going through—and you have the tools to fix it.
This is where connection happens. It’s the heart of sales—meet them in the problem, and lead them to the solution.
Now that they’re emotionally invested, it’s time to show them how you can help. This is your offer section—but keep it skim-friendly. Your reader should be able to scan this section and instantly know which service might be right for them.
Don’t try to explain everything here. Give them just enough to get interested and click your CTA.
This is your chance to set yourself apart. Not with your credentials or a chronological life story—but with your approach. Your values. Your way of doing things.
This section is all about alignment. You’re not trying to convince everyone—you’re trying to resonate with the right ones. Throw in some hot takes if it feels right!
End with a strong “this is why I do what I do” vibe. Include a picture of you, preferably something that feels relaxed and real (not stiff or corporate).
People trust other people more than they trust you. That’s just how it is. So let them hear from someone who’s already taken the leap. This is a key step in how to convert more clients with this 10 step landing page formula.
Mix it up. This section should feel like a hype squad showing up on your behalf. If you don’t have a lot of client testimonials, use quotes from friends and family who have tried out your service. As long as they are real words from real people, you’re good!
Bonus tip: pair each testimonial with a result or a transformation it highlights. A photo of the person you are quoting is always a plus.
At this point, you’ve probably won them over—but now they need to know what happens next.
Spell it out. Make it easy. Working with you should feel exciting, not like they’re about to get hit with a 10-step application process.
Make sure to add your CTA button at the end. The CTA button should be the same words as your first step.
This section is here to remove hesitation. Show them that you’ve got your process down and it’s going to be smooth sailing.
Hit them with a super clear Call To Action statement to make them click that button! Sometimes people just need that last push to do the thing.
You know those last-minute doubts that keep people from booking? This is where we squash them.
FAQs aren’t just helpful—they’re conversion tools. Use them to address objections, explain timelines, clarify deliverables, and answer “but what if…” questions.
Keep the answers clear, conversational, and reassuring. This is where people go when they’re almost ready to click but just need a little nudge.
If someone’s made it this far down the page but hasn’t clicked your CTA, they’re interested—but not quite ready.
That’s where your freebie comes in. This is your “no pressure, just vibes” offer. Something helpful, actionable, and aligned with your services. It gives them a taste of working with you and builds trust over time.
Make sure this freebie naturally leads back to your offer so that when they’re ready, the next step to work with you feels obvious. Feel free to check out mine HERE if you need some inspo.
Some people just need to feel like they know you a little better. So give them a sneak peek into your world.
Embed your Instagram feed, your latest Reels, or your TikToks—whichever platform you’re most active on. This gives people a chance to vibe-check you before they commit.
It also keeps the page dynamic and updated without you having to manually change things every week.
As for the footer, this is where you wrap things up, but it’s also prime real estate for one final action step.
But here’s the key: just pick one action you want them to take. Don’t try to do it all—keep the energy focused and clear.
Are you ready to convert more clients with this 10 step landing page formula?
You don’t need a 12-page website to start making money online. Don’t overthink every design choice. You just need a landing page that’s focused, intentional, and built to guide your people toward action.
Clarity converts. Confidence sells. And showing up with even a simple, well-structured page can be the thing that takes you from “I’ve been trying to do this thing…” to fully booked.
