Ever stared at your website thinking, “Something’s just off about this whole thing” but couldn’t put your finger on what it was? That’s exactly what happened with a recent client of mine, a passionate wedding planner with big dreams and the skills to match—but a brand that wasn’t quite hitting the mark. This is how we turned things around with My One-Week Brand Transformation Process.
Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my “Map My Aesthetic” service, where I help entrepreneurs transform their branding in just one week. Let me show you how we take something that feels misaligned and turn it into a strategic powerhouse that magnetically attracts your ideal clients.
When this wedding planner reached out, she was stuck in that frustrating limbo that so many of us end up in:
“I understand colors and fonts,” she told me. “I’ve been utilizing that side of branding for a while now, but I don’t know why I don’t like my website.”
Her site was functional and decently done, but something didn’t feel quite right to her. She’d chosen purple because it was her favorite color and had incorporated elements from her own wedding colors. She was trying different font combinations but couldn’t figure out why nothing seemed to click.
The telling sign? She’d recently raised her prices (heck yeah!) to move beyond the budget-clients, but hadn’t booked new clients since the increase. This often signals that your brand isn’t fully communicating your value in the marketplace.
She needed a quick fix to help her move forward in her business, portray her skills, stop attracting the budget clients, and start attracting the people who actually valued her services and were willing to pay for them!
Enter me (;
When I reviewed her site in my Free Brand/Website Audit, I could see where the disconnect was happening. There were surface-level design tweaks I could suggest—more breathing room around photos, more consistent font sizes—but that’s not why she came to me…
The feeling was off, and whenever we’re talking about feeling, we’re talking about brand. Her visuals were giving more corporate-institution vibes than wedding celebration. I actually pulled up Deloitte’s website and sat it next to hers so she could see the similarities in tone. We giggled over just how similar they actually were!
This was quite different from the warm, community-oriented, love-struck experience she wanted to create for her clients.
It’s no wonder her higher-paying clients weren’t connecting. They couldn’t see themselves in her brand, and they couldn’t visualize the love-fueled, stress-free wedding journey she was perfectly positioned to deliver.
Book your Free Brand + Website Audit to uncover where your disconnect is happening!
We kicked things off with a deep-dive strategy call. This isn’t just chatting—it’s strategic excavation where we dig into what actually matters.
She later told me:
“I really felt like our time together was used wisely. I felt like I was able to get all of my thoughts out (even if I didn’t understand all my thoughts originally LOL).“
We discovered that while she thought her colors and fonts were portraying her personality, they weren’t connecting with her people or communicating her true value: turning wedding planning challenges into a celebration where couples could fully enjoy their love story.
By day three, I delivered her Sun Brand Guide—my approach that highlights the core of her brand and all the moving parts that revolve around it.
What was in her Sun Brand Guide?
Her core message became clear: “Transforming wedding stress into celebration.” Everything else was built around this truth.
The creative direction evolved from just purple and grey to a warm, sophisticated palette with more emotional resonance. We chose fonts and shapes that reflected her type-A, organized personality, while still melding with the warmth of her color palette.
Finally, we had a cohesive brand that showcased the feeling her clients wanted when working with her, while making sure her personality wasn’t lost (yes, we kept a purple in there for her!).

Sammy got to choose which design assets we created with her new branding. This could be a new logo, a website page, a business card—anything!
She chose a Brand Style Guide that made implementation straightforward. No more wondering where to use which colors, how to use her new fonts, or how to maintain consistency.
She also chose Social Media Templates tailored to her specific content needs, designed to showcase her unique approach while maintaining the visual consistency her new brand demanded.
Throughout the process, I used Trello to manage everything, which she loved:
“I think the Trello board is great! Very easy to use and a nice place to have everything in one spot.“
This is where we tracked the progress of her design week, where I delivered her Sun Brand Guide and Design Assets, and where she could provide feedback on designs.
For every element we developed, I made sure she knew the strategy behind it. As she put it:
“She explained her reasoning behind every change so that I could understand that it wasn’t ‘just because’. Alia is professional and knows her stuff!“
Before working with me, Sammy described her situation as:
“Very confusing! I didn’t really feel like I had a solid brand or knew what I was doing. So having the eye and mind of a professional was amazing!“
After our week together, she shared:
“I am very excited to start implementing the color choices and design choices. I am really looking forward to having a cohesive look!“
The transformation wasn’t just about making things prettier—it was about clarity and direction. It was about that much-needed feeling! She now had a strategic foundation that aligned with her actual values and spoke directly to her ideal clients.

Still on the fence? Here’s what my client would tell you:
“DO IT. Seriously. Alia is wonderful, and she knows what she’s talking about.
